Configuration of DFS Replication

Now go to DFS Management, Right click on Replication and select New Replication Group

In next screen leave the default selected (Multipurpose replication group) and click on next

In next screen give the name of replication group, check the domain named and click on next

In next screen click on add button and add both the server node here one by one and click on next

In next screen leave the default selection (Full Mesh) and click on next

In this screen leave default and click on next

In next screen select the primary node (VM1) and then click on next,

In next screen add the local path of folder (\\abc.com\Documents) and click on next

In next screen select the Member Server and click on edit button

Select the Enabled button and add the add the local path for shared folder from second Node (click on browse) if folder is not available create the folder same as in previous step with same name) and click on next

In next screen click on create button

Now the replication process has been completed.

 

Testing of Configuration

Go to any server and create a file or documents inside the documents folder that was created in during the configuration.

After creating the files or documents goes to second node/server, you will see the documents.

Now this means sharing and replication is working fine.
